THE COMPANY

The company Azienda Sant’Antonio Abate has been founded in 1977 at Ispica, Ragusa, on the south-east cost of Sicily. The company covers a surface of 60 hectares, cultivated exclusively according to the methods of the organic agriculture with vegetables, citrus fruits, olives, almonds and with herbs & spices. Integrally certified organic since 1995, the company is specializing in the production of vegetables and in their processing, drying and preservation in extra virgin olive oil.

The production is divided in four ranges:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables;
  • Extra virgin olive oil;
  • Sundried vegetables preserved in extra virgin olive oil, sauces & pates of vegetables (olive pate, tapugliato of cherry tomatoes,...);
  • Sundried vegetables in fancy mix ready to use: preparation for sauces & condiments for pasta, risotti, bruschette and antipasti.

The philosophy is to produce natural and genuine specialties, without using colouring matters or other artificial addtives. The best recipes of the Sicilian tradition are offered ready to use: original and easy to prepare in few minutes. Trough the sun-drying-process (natural drying in 5000 m2 of covered drying-house), the structure, the nourishing principles and the organoleptic characteristics of the vegetables remain unadulterated.

The company produces according to the methods of the organic Agriculture also the aromatical herbs & spices and the extra virgin olive oil used for the preparation of the condiments, sauces & pates. Thanks to the control og the complete production chain, all products are guaranteed from the field to the table.
